AK9567 is a highly integrated single-chip controller supporting Contact Smart Card and external NFC Controller for dual interface, Contact and Contactless, smart card reader. With highly integrated build-in circuit, AK9567 enables the lowest BOM cost of contact Smart Card reader. Through SPI or I2C standard serial bus, AK9567 seamless interfaces with popular NFC controllers, like STMicroelectronics ST25R3916-series chips. AK9567 also provides feature of firmware upgrade with external SPI flash.

AK9567 supports multiple international standards including ISO7816 for IC card standard, PC/SC 2.0 for Windows Smart Card standard, Microsoft WHQL, and compliance with USB-IF CCID standard. The application of AK9567 can be generally applied to Smart Card read/write terminal device, such as ATM, POS terminal, public telephone, E-Commerce, personal consumption on Internet, personal certification…etc.
